When to go in Riverdale

Weekday mornings before 9am and the hour before sunset are the quietest windows at Riverdale parks. Saturday mornings are the busiest — and the most social, if you're trying to meet the regulars. From late winter into early spring, DMV area parks turn soft: check the mud factor on each park page before you drive over, since locals update it after every rain.
