"This wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built between games of fetch and morning walks around the neighborhood."
Hi there. I'm Kevin Bailey, and if you live in the DMV with a dog, there's a good chance we've already passed each other on a trail or exchanged a quick "good morning" while our pups sniffed the same tree.
I started DMV Paws & Parks because I wanted one simple place where our local dog community could share what we all know: which park has shade after noon, where the water fountains are actually working, which spots are quiet enough for shy dogs, and where the regulars gather on Saturday mornings. Some of the best parks are the hardest to find — and I wanted those tucked-away gems to be easy to discover.
This isn't a marketing project, and it isn't here to sell you anything. It's a passion project built on treats, early walks, and the belief that dog people make the best neighbors. Cannon and Cairo are the real inspiration — they just want every dog in the DMV to have a place to run free and make friends with the local pack.
By day, I'm a Realtor helping people find homes across the DMV. This site is something I keep separate from that work — just a fun way to give back to the local dog community that Cannon and Cairo have introduced me to.
The best part is watching it grow into something bigger than our own walks. When you check in, leave a review, upload a photo, or join a meetup, you're helping the whole pack find a better afternoon outside.
The little things that make a weekend walk easier, safer, and more social.
Find top-rated dog parks, trails, and hard-to-find local gems across NoVA, DC, and Maryland with real photos, honest reviews, and live updates from people who actually go there.
Check in, share real-time updates, and join meetups so your dog can find their favorite playmates — and you can find fellow dog owners who love the same parks.
A broken gate, muddy field, or missing waste station? Quick condition reports keep the community informed before the next visitor arrives.
