There was a Dog Expo Block Party at the dog park. It is apparently held the first weekend in June every year. This was my first time hearing of it and so, I decided to go and check it out. It was free to attend which was great. Pet parents were welcomed to bring their fur babies of all sizes to come out and get vaccines for free and enjoy a day out for pets to socialize and play. The atmosphere was light and calming while I was there. There were vendors there that were provided free tables to present their pet services or products to pet parents who came to the expo. Food and drink vendors were there for people to purchase. The SPCA was stationed out there and they had kittens for people to adopt on the spot and take home. What I really liked was how the dogs were playing in the play area together. It was like watching children play on the playground together. They seemed so happy to be out and meeting new friends. Everytime a pet parent approached the play area with their dog, the other dogs would run to the gate to greet the new dog and welcome him into the play area. It was sooo cute to watch. I really had a nice time and will definitely attend next year.

This is NOT a public park. I was here alone (no other dogs or people in sight) for less than 10 minutes when the animal control for greenbelt pulled up promptly to let me know I had to have a paid permit and be a city of greenbelt resident to come here and made me and my dog leave. There’s no signs about this anywhere either which the animal control also pointed out. Absolutely ridiculous. I live in the Landover area and there are no dog parks in my area, what do I pay taxes for? They are really here waiting for me to leave and standing guard for a empty sad dog park.

Nice dog park open clean garbage is upkept but best of all on a hot summer day this park has trees and is semi cool love this park the most so far Nvm signs it's private kinda lame

Very nice dog park. The community definitely takes care of this park. And they actually pick up after their fur babies! A lot of room for them to run and play.
